dream weaver

This is a paper weaving of my dreams and my life. It came from an online prompt. I did it while I was staying in a motel where I went to have a break from home and to do some art without distraction.

VOG dolls

I made these two dolls for the doll challenge as part of reading Julia Cameron's book Vein of gold. The black doll is my inner critic that still has a heart and helps me to learn so much about life particularly now I have befriended her. The other doll has two sides. I have bipolar so the colorful side is when I am energetic and slightly manic and the plainer side is my quieter less energetic side. I am busy making a shrine for the two of them to live in.

Bracelets

Dear friend, I have just made my first two bracelets. The red and silver and blue and silver bracelets. The plain turquoise one is a gift from a friend. I thought it would be hard to make a bracelet but it was a lot of fun. I have another two planned and a necklace too....maybe more. I'll be adding more of my work when my camera is repaired. It's in being fixed.

Lost and found

Hands

Dear friend,
This is a response to a drawing class I am doing online. it was to draw and collage hands. I did a photocopy of hands and surrounded it with sketches of my hand. You can't see the sketches. Sorry I am not good at reproducing my artwork. I will get better. Looking forward to my homework for this week.

Dear friend,
This is me at the end of Sara's course. I started the course mostly being a writer now I am definitely an artist journalist. i love it with a passion. i am so glad I have discovered Kathryn's weekly blog and the fabulous prompts. I made this doiley during a 30 day creativity challenge on line. I hadn't done crochet in years. It was great to do and to remember how to do it. Crochet fine cotton has a lovely rhythm to it. I am doing another one.
