Maps challenge

Dear friend,
These artist journal pages are part of a challenge to explore using maps in your artist journal. I used a map of Victoria where i live and a map of Japan where I would like to go. I gessoed the parts of the map I didn't want to see and then did some potato stamp spirals. I then added some oak leaves because they give me wisdom and strength and then I journaled on the page. I am going to do some more pages today.
lots of love from susan in australia

I love these layouts. The spirals running down the side is cool. Now your use of maps make the layout so interesting. Great job!

If you want to enter the contest, link back to the challenge and leave me a comment and I'll add you into the running to win the prize.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Susan, these are so wonderful. I was stuck on this theme and you made beautiful pages from it!

If only we could truly do Maps that way - see places we want and ignore the ones we don't!
I have always loved the idea of 'folded space' that featured so heavily in the Dune books - perhaps one day, your favoured Map will be a reality!
Blessings on your journey

One of these days I'm going to get brave enough to make my own potato stamps. Love yours.
