Scarlet oak

Dear friends,
it sure has been awhile. I have been doing lots of art but nothing worth putting on here. A lot of my art is personal art journaling and would be meaningless. This tree is my scarlet oak losing it's leaves. the tree is a joy to me in my backyard and viewing it from the house. I did the leaves on the tree top using coffee filters cut out in the shape of leaves and soaked with paint and then removed to leave the lovely patterns. The little leaves I removed I then stuck to the bottom of the page. the trunk was done with acrylics and then washed off with a spray to dilute the effect. lots of fun
lots of love from susan JOY

Susan, I love repetition, so these leaves are eye-catching. Your writing becomes part of the design and frames everything beautifully. I do hope you'll continue to share more of your beauty with us.
