Finally some art work

I have no idea if this has worked. One day I'll laugh about this but at the moment I find it quite challenging dealing with computer technology. Hopefully a little illustration of my first attempts at the EDM challenges will appear on my blog. One day this will all be terribly easy......so will my drawing.....some day. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the adventure. Special thanks to a number of the EDM members for all their help and encouragement. I haven't seen many super beginner's like me in the EDM group. Maybe they are hiding out....like I have been.
Lots of love from Susan in Australia

Great job Susan!!! I'm so glad you've posted some of your art. You have real talent and it's WONDERFUL that you are sharing it. One of the really neat things about posting work is looking back a few months later and seeing how we've grown.

Susan, this is really lovely. You've used colour really well. And a very good way to do a few challenges in one picture. I may just pinch that idea!!! Very nice job, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Yay, Susan! Love the blog. Congratulations. Like the grid, too, and I'm determined to try a grid now.

Congrats and welcome to EDM. You will cherish these first few sketches as you begin to grow as an artist. Don't be afraid to post away!

Welcome, Susan. You did it! I know I felt the same way a few months ago, and these folks were all so nice and welcoming. I'm positive you'll find the same thing. Nice work too! Keep it up.

Yep, you did it - well done - I especially like the stitching details in the bags and shoes - they really bring those items alive. Alison in Canberra

I'm laughing knowing how I fumbled with getting a blog up and runing and then there was Flickr! Love this little grid. Before long you will be a pro at this blog thing and we get to reap the benefits of seeing your art.

I like the very simple style, it shows that less can be more and there is real skill and observation to be able to do that. Well done. I'm inspired.

I'm sure you WON'T laugh when you look back at this lovely illustration! I love the shoes, top left especially.
Your blog is fascinating already, I share so many of those thoughts having suffered from depression myself. I know too how hard simple things are that others just do and take for granted. I'm very sure your positive attitude and continued blogging will keep that black dog at bay! Keep it up!
