Corn

I used to have a large garden and grew lots of corn each year. When I down sized into a small home and garden I never imagined I'd grop a little crop of corn in a corner of the garden. I did this sketch last Summer and don't know if it will be the last crop or the beginning of many more. We had drought conditions last Summer so difficult to do the watering. I hope to do another crop this Summer. I love the taste of fresh corn. I eat it straight off the plant and no cooking...yummo.
Lots of love from Susan in Australia

Hi Susan! this is a great sketch. Plants are really difficult to draw, but you've done great! I didn't know corn can be eaten without cooking it first!!!

Wonderful sketch Susan! Its simple and elegant, and makes great use of white space. Nice work.

I think this is really good, simple and elegantly executed.

And i love corn too. We are getting your share of the rain, in the UK.

Yum! I love corn, and the fresher the better (although I won't eat it raw ...)! Great drawing -- it looks like it would be a fun subject.

Very nice clean lines! A great little sketch. There's nothing like fresh vegies - but I, too, have never eaten corn raw. I do not cook it long though.

Wonderful little sketch Susan. We are just into the corn-on-the-cob season so I can appreciate this even more. Nothing better than the first meal of corn.

This is lovely - really corn like. I don't know whether to even plant any vegies this year - we look like going to stage 4 restrictions - no outside watering - so sad.
