The pursuit of happyness

I had a fabulous day yesterday. I went to the movies to see The pursuit of happyness which was a delightful feel good movie just right for an escapist like me. It was also great because I have trouble going to crowded places and am trying to practice getting used to it. I am so pleased with my progress. It seems ridiculous to most people but for some of us crowds and busy places are overwhelming with their stimuli.
I wanted to record the father and son and wondered how I'd go doing a sketch when I got home....then I saw the poster and decided to use my travel journal which I don't use often. I did a sketch of the poster while people passed me by. I was positively thrilled.....it doesn't take much to make me happy....I am well pleased with that fact....I am happy a lot in my life and I am well blessed.
Lots of love from Susan in Australia

Greetings, Susan ~
This is not a comment on your (though lovely) sketch of Pursuit of Happiness. This is a "Thank You" for being such a cheerful, enthusiastic person. I read a few entries in your blog, and a few posts of yours in Artist's Way Play and Everyday Matters. You are always happy, with a great word for others/everybody.
I am living in Australia now, with my 'new' husband, but I am from Canada originally. Sometimes I get lonely - homesick, you could call it. Lately I just quit my job to start my own business at home(Garden design and growing plants) but I can't seem to find the motivation to get going. Or to be enthusiastic about it. I thought if I got my drawing pad and pencils out, I might be inspired, but to no avail.
So ~ Your cheerfulness has helped me today. I do need to write my Morning pages and, at night, write in my own Gratitude journal.
Off to my shade house I go... my babies await my care.
Thanks again

I can't say it any better than Stella. You are an absolute ray of sunshine!!
I'm so glad you got your own scanner and know you will put it to excellent use. I've been busy the past couple of days and haven't had time to get caught up with art blogs - and it was delightful to see your new posts - keep 'em coming!!
